Praying for my Future Spouse

Chuck & Ashley Elliott

Invite God to use the time spent waiting to bring Him glory. When we (Chuck and Ashley) were dating, we each used our singleness to prepare for marriage in unique ways. Chuck wrote letters to his future wife. Ashley wrote questions she would ask her future date to ensure that he was a good fit for her. Both of these activities developed through prayer and still strengthens our marriage today. We have kept the prayer prompts short because we want your focus to be connecting with God about your future spouse. Ask God to comfort your future spouse in their waiting, filling him or her with satisfaction and delight in the Lord. Pray that God will deepen your future spouse’s love for and commitment to Jesus.
