Introducing “Jacks Are Wild,” a 33-page digital book that tackles the issue of communication in today’s world. With more connectivity and communication devices at our fingertips, we should be able to speak with each other effectively. Unfortunately, we are more divided, sectioned off, and lonelier than ever before. The book aims to teach individuals how to have simple conversations with one another and how to make disciples by sharing the Good News of Jesus with Truth & Grace.
The book starts by defining communication as a process by which information is exchanged between individuals through a common system of symbols, signs, or behavior. However, today’s communication has been impacted by technology and has created a hypersensitive culture that would instead argue with a stranger than have a conversation. The book presents ten examples that tell us communication is not our strong suit, and it explores the different communication styles men tend to utilize.
